The brief
The last figure in this exosome review had a simple job: sum up why exosomes are attractive as a therapy and what still stands in the way. It needed to be quick to read after five dense mechanism figures.
My approach
One exosome in the center: I reused the detailed exosome from the paper’s first figure, so the review starts and ends with the same image.
Two sides, two colors: disadvantages sit on the left in red and advantages on the right in green. The list lengths differ (seven against eighteen), and the layout lets that imbalance show instead of hiding it.
Plenty of white space: after the busier figures earlier in the paper, this one is deliberately calm.

The result
A clean closing figure that readers can use as a checklist. Simple summary figures like this are often the ones that get reused most in talks and teaching.
